Monday Musical Club was founded in 1904 and has supported music in Portland throughout the years.
The Music Awards program was started in memory of founder Carrie Heppner and today funds a program that awards thousands of dollars annually to music students age 14 to 22. Students participate in an audition each spring. Winners are selected by professional adjudicators. Music Awards are supported by fundraising, bequests and contributions from members.
Our members are men and women who love music. Some are professional musicians and educators, others take pleasure in listening and supporting music in the community. The club supports two-piano teams that present an annual concert and a women’s chorus which performs by request.
